As part of our Lutheran Schools’ Week activities, we generally like to include some type of service/outreach activity for the children. This year we have decided to collect and assemble “Care Packages” for the people who will be staying here during the Easter Week as part of the South Oakland Shelter Program.

We are asking students to bring in particular items, based on their class. Please see the list below to know that your child should be sending in:

Preschool:  1- 2 small bottles of hand sanitizer

Kindergarten:  2- 3 tubes of Chapstick

1st Grade:  2- 3 rolls of fruit Life Savers

2nd Grade:  1 6 pack of Hershey Bars

3rd Grade:  2- 3 Boxes of Tic Tacs

4th Grade:  2- 3 Individually packaged toothbrushes

5th Grade:  2- 3 Travel Sized Tissue Packs

6th Grade:  4 pack of Washcloths ($1 at Walmart)

7the Grade:  2- 3 small bottles or tubes of lotion

8the Grade:  1 Box of 500 QTips

Children may bring items to their classroom throughout the week of February 26 –  March 2. We’ll be packing and assembling “kits” on Monday, March 5, so please have items to school by that date. As always, Thank You for your help and support.
